SOLA SOBOWALE WINS ‘BEST ACTRESS’ FOR ‘KING OF BOYS’ AT THE AMAA

Highly anticipated film King of Boys won the award for ‘Best Nigerian Film’ at the recently concluded Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA and also saw veteran actress Sola Sobowale bag the trophy for ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ for her role in same film.

Sobowale defeated Rita Dominic, Sheila Munyiva, Jill Levenberg, Beatrice Taisamo, Seyi Shay, Jemima Osunde, and Samantha Mugatsia to emerge Africa’s Best Actress playing the feisty character Eniola.

The Ondo state talent got her early fame playing Toyin Tomato in Wale Adenuga’s Super Story and has grown to expand her career to screenwriting, directing and producing.

Attending the grand occasion, the star decked in a bubblegum pink pant outfit which featured a dramatic peplum that morphed into a train.
